The Sidewinders have been entertaining the Southern Rhode Island and Southeastern Connecticut area with their Rhythm and Blues musical extravaganza for 15 years. The musicians all came from warm and loving families, but somewhere along the way they went astray and were hoodooed by the Hoodoo Man. Thus began their baptism by fire, their calling the result of hearing the jingle jangle of a thousand lost souls in search of the divine light.
As a result, the Sidewinders have dedicated their lives to paying homage to the masters of Blues, RnB, and Soul music and spreading this jubilant gospel to the masses. Their repertoire spans from the mid to late 20th century, when music was made for the sole purpose of worshipping the earthly pleasures of moving, grooving and "doing the boogie real slow with the blue lights way down low." From fields of Mississippi to steelyards of Chicago, from Basin Street to 52nd street via Beale Street, The Sidewinders have distilled the calliope of all these joyous noises into a rapturous recipe to rock all night long.
When they are not titrating life saving concoctions, raising chickens or building atomic submarines, the Sidewinders are bringing their infectious sounds to tabernacles of fine liquor and food, weddings, outdoor festivals and other celebrations of joy, inciting all those who listen to get off their seats and dance deliriously with uninhibited joy. It is our bold mission to bring our message of groove to the world and have one and all proclaim "Jesus H. Christ, I have seen the light!"
