Crosswick originated back in March of 2011 by a couple of enthusiastic musicians who wanted to write and perform great rock n' roll songs for people to enjoy. The band's name was derived from a local historic town on the border of Hamilton and Bordentown New Jersey. In fact, the town of Crosswicks (with an "s" at the end) is just a few yards away from where the band currently rehearses. Although the line-up has gone through numerous changes, they are more determined than ever.
The members are:
Pete Tonti - Lead Guitar and Lead Vocals
Kurt Gruninger - Bass and Vocals
Jon Crow - Drums and Vocals
Nathan Reetz - Keyboards and Rhythm Guitar
The band plays all types of music, but their main influences are grunge, progressive and the many sub-genres of rock. The group's set list includes covers as well as originals. They recorded their first EP (self titled 'Crosswick') in September of 2012 at Tom Reock's Squirrel Ranch Studios. It included covers of "People are Strange" and "House of the Rising Sun", as well as two of their originals: "No More" and "Man with a Mop".
Since then, they have been performing in venues all across New Jersey including: Brighton Bar, Cedar Pub, Halo Pub, McGillicuddy's, Roebling Pub, Rho and Pete's Steakhouse Tavern. Come on out to see one of their shows - or if you can't wait, you can check them out on Facebook, ReverbNation or YouTube.
