In the summer of 2004, noted singer/songwriter and intergalactic space traveler, Steve Wulfe (illegitimate son of the world famous "Banjo" Steve) had returned to his home town of St. Petersburg, FL after an unsuccessful attempt to break into the sport of Professional Taser Ball.
Wulfe was in a time of returning to his roots both spiritually and musically. It was in this time when Wulfe met famed bassist Sven Loveless who, having just washed up on the shore of St. Pete Beach, FL after a transoceanic sailing disaster in the Atlantic the cause of which, and details of, still remain unknown, was looking for a new musical endevour.
The two then recuited legendary drummer Malone Peterson, who had been recently touring with the Uzbekistan Phil Harmonic playing fourth chair cow-bell. Peterson, as usual, is tight-lipped about his reason for joining the group, often refering to "...having to save humanity..." before trailing of questions to a mumbled silence. Ever the enigma, he is none the less a major force in the band.
Wulfe, Peterson, and Loveless have now combined their collective musical genius to form Electric Powered Windmills. A dramactic musical game changer, EPW brings together elements of funk, rock, jam, and hardcore to create what many have described as post-apocalyptic gypsy funk. High energy performers, this genre-bending trio has the ability to entertain and engage any audience.
Currently, after a very mysterious five year hiatus, Electric Powered Windmills are writing and recording tracks for their upcoming record entitled "Push Record Already!" to be released some time in the winter of 2012. They are also performing a string of club dates in Florida as well.
