New on the scene, and establishing their musical territory through aggressive creation, a short gestation period and balls of steel, Royal Skin is poised to be the next serious contender to ascend the Rock n Roll throne.
Ronnie Heaven is a 24 year old singer, writer and composer who dabbles in harmonica, piano and guitar. Belting out tunes since the tender age of 3 and joining her first rock band, the progressive metal Predator/Prey at 17. Other bands followed, including stints in a Blues band and a punk rock band playing keyboards. Ronnie joined Darling Dynamite in 2009, co-writing (with Pistol Grips Justin Hellfire) and recording an EP, and playing gigs around LA and O.C. before disbanding. Meeting the legendary producer Kim Fowley in a club, she recorded vocals on his experimental album. She then joined a Motley Crue tribute, Motley 2, rocking historic venues such as the Roxy in Hollywood before leaving to pursue her original music. Now residing in beautiful San Francisco, Ronnie is currently rocking out with Royal Skin, her musical brainchild.
Ronnie is inspired by singers Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Phil Anselmo, Jeff Buckley, Amanda Palmer, Axl Rose and others. Bands that inspire are Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pantera, Guns n Roses, Dresden Dolls, Acid Bath, Avenged Sevenfold, Megadeth, all kinds of Blues
