My story isn't much different from every other musician out there. I'm just making my music, and hoping people like, and even if they don't, oh well. You can't please every one.
I guess I could start with the fact that my mother is rather musically inclined. She once ran her own dance studio, and she can sing. I didn't really realize my full potential until I was 21 and living in Los Angeles. I had moved there from my hometown in Virginia. I would practice for hours on my bass, but never attempting to sing.
I'm not sure what happened next, either it was my friends, or something within me, but I started doing karaoke, going a head and laugh, I laugh when I think about it. But, I realized, and so did my friends, that my voice ain't half bad. It needs work, no doubt, but it's got potential.
That's basically it. Like I said there's not much. I just make my music, trying to find my sound, my style, which I think I've done. But, now comes the part of fine tuning your sound and style.
