For ten years I have rocked the house with my guitar and amp. I have had audiences on their feet (literally, that was a sweet moment I will never forget), toured locally, playd bluegrass as well as rock n' roll, jammed with more people than I can remember, mastered several styles of guitar, written music that has been recorded, played to audiences of enthusiastic audiences of hundreds and uninterested audiences of three, studied my instrument extensively, developed my own unique voice, and developed a plan of action which I am working every day on bringing to fruition.
My playing style is a cross between Zakk Wylde, Jon Schaffer from Iced Earth and Adrian Smith from Iron Maiden. I have played live with a dinner theater, jammed with lots of local musicians and have been in bands and done lots of open mic nights and made a few solo recordings. I am looking to get to playing gigs as soon as possible. Contact metalstar316 at vcox dot net
My main influences are the three mentioned above, plus about a million others. Adrian & Dave from Iron Maiden, Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, Tony Iommi, George Harrison, Johnny Cash, Angus Young, SLASH, Jon Schaffer, Lemmy, Gene Simmons, Dime, Mark Morton and Willie Adler, Eddie V, Karl Logan, Brian May, Glenn & KK, Peter Steele, Carl Perkins, Alex Lifeson, Elton John, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, Andre Olbrich and Marcus Seipen & etc. I know not all of them are guitarist but I'll add others when I think of them.
I can read and write sheet music as well.
I have dedicated myself to the study and applications of music theory, of which I have an Intermediate level of experience.
My own music is mostly based on history, fantasy, religion, current events, and occasional daily life. I have been writing songs for over 10 years and have 6 completed that I am sticking with and another 12 or so that I am working on/conceptualizing. I have LOTS more lyrics than music written. I have another 15 or more completed lyrics that do not yet have music. Some of these are older songs that I wrote early in my writing career and have not yet decided what to do with them.
My gear consists of 2 Epiphone Les Pauls- a custom and a standard, a Fender 12 string acoustic and a Marshall combo. I also have a ZOOM H4 Handy recorder and Cubase software, and Amplitube ipod App.

I mostly write my own music. My songs are progressive yet accessible, easy to listen to and get absorbed in, yet are not straightforward and can be demanding to play. The major themes in my work are history, war, fantasy, religion, horror stories, politics, and current events. I DO NOT WRITE LOVE BALLADS. However if you want songs with a purpose and deep philosophical/sociological/fantastical meaning, look no further!
