Melanie Joe is a 22 year-old singer/songwriter who is the reigning West Coast Country Music Associations "Female Vocalist of the Year". In January 2013 Melanie competed in "3 Minutes to Stardum" which aired live on FOX 5 San Diego and she made it all the way to the Semi Finals! In June 2013 she was the headliner for the "Coors Light Rock on Series" at the San Diego County Fair. "Heart of Paper” is the first of Melanie's efforts in her songwriting career. She and co-writer Jason Brawner were thrilled when "Heart of Paper" sold internationally on iTunes within the first month of distribution. Just recently she began writing with songwriter and producer Billy Alexander. Melanie Joe just released her forth single "Gun Shy" in June 2013 which was picked up by 102.1 KPRI and Big Star 97. With the release of "Gun Shy" came an On-Camera interview and intimate acoustic performance that was featured on UTTV (Union Tribune Television) San Diego. Melanie and her band were also interviewed and featured live on KUSI San Diego, and Fox 5 San Diego.
Melanie has always known a career in Country Music meant leaving the only town and family she's ever known so in September 2013 she packed her things and made her way to her new home in Fort Worth, Texas. Two weeks after arriving in Fort Worth Melanie was ready and excited to get onstage again. She competed in The Ranch 106.9 Singer/Songwriter competition and was thrilled when she advanced to the finals. In two short months Melanie has found herself on stage at PR's, Blue 32, Texas BBQ Pit, Oasis, Eagles Nest and Filthy McNastys. In October 2013 Melanie was selected to be a featured artist on On-Air with Brian Doty.
Melanie Joe loves to donate her time and voice to many charitable organizations including The Girls Against Abuse Foundation, Safe Alternatives For Everyone, and Oak Grove School for at risk youth.
