Fueled by cheap cases of beer, jam sessions that proceed into the daylight hours, and the ever-lasting desire to get people cuttin’ a mean rug, Consult the Briefcase covers all the best rock hits that you can’t help but move your feet to. This 4-piece cover band, based out of Stevens Point, Wis., plays hits from the 50’s to now, but find their niche to be 70’s and 80’s rock tunes. Yup…songs that hit the charts well before they were even born, BUT have no fear! They definitely know how to play ‘em, and play ‘em they do. As Keith Richards once said, “Everyone talks about Rock these days; the problem is, they forget about the Roll.” Well, rest assured that Consult the Briefcase definitely doesn’t forget!
Lead singer/rhythm guitarist Shaun Krueger, contrary to her small frame, is said to belt out songs like Joan Jett, with lead guitarist/back-up vocalist Travis Nechuta answering back with face-melting, but cleverly controlled, guitar riffs. Younger brother, Derek Nechuta, plays a mean bass, with Andy Dietrich thumpin’ away from behind his drum kit, propelling each song to its last, respected beat.
This group brings a high energy show to any venue, small or large, casting their own spin on a variety of songs written by respected artists, such as: The Who, Pat Benatar, AC-DC, Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett, Van Halen and more. Over the past year, CTB has played at various festivals and venues around Wisconsin, including Summerfest on the U.S. Cellular Stage, The Milwaukee State Fair, The Fillmor in Wausau, Wisconsin and many more. They are also known to clean-up nicely from the bar-scene and become seasoned, headlining performers for special occasions, such as community benefits, college/high school camps, holiday events, private parties, and much more.
