Jan Benschop / Bio
In love with folk music since 1967, Jan was born in (then) Dutch Sumatra, lived in the Caribbean moved to Vermont in 1962 and became a U.S. citizen in 1970. He has lived in the South the last 50 years. His musical influences range from classical and jazz to Americana, Bossa Nova, and folk. To say his music is eclectic is an understatement.
