Funeral Age is a Blackened Death Metal band from Seattle, WA formed in 2003 out of the ashes of Suicide Culture by Kevin Bedra, Greg Hartung, and Mike Sillifant.
They recorded their debut album, "Fistful of Christ" in 2003 and released it to the masses. They quickly acquired Mark Bent to do guitar work alongside Kevin Bedra. To support this album they opened for bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Kreator, Decapitated, Incantation and Vader.
In 2005 Mike Sillifant decided to step down from the drum throne, only to be replaced by John Devos.2008 was the year they went into the studio and recorded their sophomore album, "Thy Martyrdom Come". Following the recording of "Martyrdom", Lead Guitar duties were filled by Marlon Deppen. The band went on to open for the likes of Exodus, Enthroned, and Destroyer 666. In 2010 Greg Hartung decided to pursue his own journeys and took leave from the band, only to have bass duties temporarily taken over by ex-Guitar Mark Bent.
In the Winter of 2010 Marlon Deppen decided that he wanted to take leave and explore other bands and music styles aside from Black Metal, but was shortly replaced by guitarist Henry Bale. Victor Hamilton joined the ranks of Funeral Age as their permanent Bassist in December of 2012.
