Sour Bridges took your sister to the prom, treated her real nice and got her home just before curfew. They called your sister the next day and even winked at your dad as the screen door closed. Sour Bridges is Austin’s premiere folk-indie-bluegrass-browngrass band. In spring of early 2009 they all got together and made music into magic.
Comprised of artists from every different corner of the country, Sour Bridges' sound is an infectious combination of Texas folk, Appalachian bluegrass, and old-time rock and roll. The five members of Sour Bridges bring a wide variety of character and instrumentation to the table with the harmonious blend of fiddle, banjo, mandolin, lovin' and acoustic guitar.
In 2010, Sour Bridges released their colorful debut full length LP, Workin’ on Leavin’. Since then the band has been busy making "Sour Bridges" a staple in the Austin and Hill Country music scenes by playing one dance-filled show after another. Their fun and lovable reputation landed them the opening slot at UTOPIAfest in 2012. Sour Bridges is released their sophomore album CATFISH CHARLIE nationally Aug 13, 2013.
When you listen to Sour Bridges you imagine a down home party on the front porch whilst drinkin' your favorite beer and talkin' to your favorite gal. These are your songs too and Sour Bridges love it when you sing along. You can expect an a capella breakdown and a chant along at their live performances and you will go home with the inexplicable desire to play the album over and over again.
