Sam’s love of music and singing, according to her parents, came at an early age. They claim that from the day she was born that she would awake every two hours and exercise her vocal cords.
She graduated from Maple Mountain High School class of 2013, where she participated in the school choir and was selected for the role of Annie in “Annie get your Gun”. She has been asked to perform the national anthem many times at sporting events. Some of the bigger venues included the Orem Owls local Semi-Pro Baseball team and the Big Sky College Women’s Basketball Championships in Idaho.
She has recently been exploring her talent as a singer/songwriter, and was selected as a finalist in the Berklee School of Music (Boston, MA) songwriting contest in 2012, and was chosen as a featured artist in July 2013 on ReverbNation for her song “Storm".
Sam truly believes that music touches the soul and heals, and each artist brings a unique message that can inspire, uplift, and heal others.
For this reason, she has helped start a non-profit organization called Lean On Music to provide opportunities for new artists to perform and raise money for organizations in our community. They have been able to raise over $3,000 dollars for different organizations since the start of Lean on Music.
