The Sea The Sea washed up in 2012. David Freeman and Danny Crane-Brewer were the first to be pulled from the ocean, Matthew Clarkson a little while after, and then Stu Norfolk and Patrick Merricks were found clinging to a buoy. All were taken to Oxford docks and during convalescence began making music together. Matteo Cocco and Simon Talbot were sadly lost at sea.
The Sea The Sea play dream pop with influences reaching out like throbbing tentacles into expanses of post-punk, post-rock and baroque pop.
