Nickie Jon was born in Tampa, Florida on February 2. At the early age of 3, Nickie started showing signs that the stage was going to be his favorite place to be. He had the ability to learn songs and choreographies from famous bands like Backstreet Boys and NSYNC very easily. Influenced by his Latin culture, he also started learning songs from various famous Spanish speaking artists such as Ricky Martin, Luis Miguel, Cristian Castro, and among many others. During his childhood, he continued to express his interest for music making guitars, keyboards and microphones his favorite toys.
Although singing and dancing was his passion, at the age of 11, he decided that he wanted to try something new and challenging so Nickie was enrolled in an acting school in Georgia. By doing so Nickie discovered his acting skills and following his teachers advises he decided to compete at AMTC (Actors Models Talent Competition) during the winter 2008 in Orlando, FL. In this competition, he became the Top Contestant in terms of Call Backs by receiving 23; he also won 1st Place – Singing, 1st Place dancing, 2nd Place – Runway, Overall Child Actor Finalist, among much other recognition which made him a Quadruple Threat (Singer, Dancer, Actor, and Model). These achievements turned his life around for the best. He started discovering a world in show business that he had always dreamed about but had never experienced.
After this competition, Nickie started going to auditions in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta which resulted in doing Voice-overs for TV commercials like lunchables, appearing on TV commercials for COX Communications, Southern California Edison and many others.
All of Nickie’s hard work paid off February 2008 when J.Pervis a Talent Agency (his current agent) called him to tell that he had been selected to audition for the show called “Fried Dynamite” on Cartoon Network. Nickie was selected to appear in a few episodes of the show but after working with them for a little while he became a permanent member of the show, now called “ASCB” (After School Comedy Block). In spring 2008, cartoon Network selected Nickie to represent them as their official host for the Ben 10 Alien Force Marathon at the International Event called COMIC-CON in San Diego, CA. At this event, Nickie had the opportunity to interview famous celebrities, comic voice-over personalities, interact with actors and actresses and ultimately make Cartoon Network proud of his performance. Nickie worked with Cartoon Network up until 2010.
After this unique experience with Cartoon Network, he has taken the time to get back to his passion “MUSIC” and has performed at different events in Atlanta like The Peachtree Latino, La Feria Latina, VIVA Fest (Radio Station’s Anniversary) and he has also shared stage with International Artists like Pitbull, Wisin y Yandel, Don Omar, RBD, and many others.
Today we are proud to say that Nickie has become THE COMPLETE PACKAGE!!!
