Jenska arrived to Long Beach, USA 1997 from Finland to find musicians to collaborate with and play her original songs to a live audience. In November 1997, Jenska joined a band called Telecast. The band played all around the Southern California and was featured in many newspapers including Los Angeles Times and OC Weekly. After 5 years gigging and some record company interest, the musicians went in their separate ways. Jenska took a 7 year hiatus from creating music.
In the spring of 2009 she felt the urge to start writing again. She came across a Producer, Hersh, who gave Jenska a beat to work with and the rest is history. After one month she had written all the songs to her first solo album "The Great Wall", which was released August 20th, 2011. After the record release, cello player, Erik Chapman joined the band and Hersh decided permanently play piano in Jenska's band. Jenska's record is currently played in rotation at Santa Barbara college radio, KCSB and she will be performing at Soho Restaurant and Music Club on February 7th, 2012.
Jenska's musical vision is to blend interesting "factory" beats with piano, cello and acoustic guitar with her unique siren voice in the middle.
