Mark Stidham (a.k.a. Delmar Hugger) was born in a missile silo outside Wichita Kansas. His early life was spent following his Dad around the world to such places as Germany and Panama. His Dad wore cool uniforms with lots of badges on them that he collected for doing brave stuff. Being raised on Armed Forces radio, Mark thought that all music was one (still does). Willie Nelson, Marvin Gaye, Frank Zappa, and Curtis Mayfield were played in succession like lining up old friends for a chance to bust open the pinata.
Mark's Southern-bred Mama sang all the time, and sang in many vocal groups. Mark loved the way she could scold him harshly, and then return to what she was doing with a beautiful song on the tip of her tongue! Such a dichotomy! Mark would try to use this in his music...fire and ice.
Mark grew up with music in his heart and soul. Saxaphone and guitar in middle school led to bands....so many bands. Mark carved a musical path through Metal, Art Rock, Punk, New Wave, Classical, Bluegrass, Alt. Whatever....
This is the part where I am suppose to tell you about all the cool Artists his bands opened for...I will spare us both. The list: Considerable. Does it matter? "Nope," says Mark .
Mark is happy if his music brings a smile to one face, warmth to one heart, or the spirit of revolution to one mind!
Delmar says,"Ditto, dude."
