Si THOMAS - forged like Detroit steel. Homegrown on rock and roll of the 70s and 80s. Standards like KISS, Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper, and Bob Seger offered the soundtrack. Radio DJs Arthur Penhallow and Doug Podell provided the commentary.
Dynamic on the stage. Electric in the studio.
In 1993 Si recorded his first full length album, with then band Violet Wine. It was met with moderate critical reviews in the local jam rags. The band was constantly peppered with the catch phrase “eclectic pop”.
Si left Violet Wine to join Father Black. The band based out of Ann Arbor- played throughout Detroit, and frequented the local college radio station. Father Black moved to Boston where they changed their name to Michigan.
The band Michigan recorded one full length album. During mixdown the band moved to Colorado. They played a few shows around Colorado including The Buffalo Rose, and Lyon’s Frontier Day. Although released in 1998 the recordings were never completely finished, the group grew impatient, and they disbanded.
Si spent the next few years writing songs and playing solo gigs, he even kept his live chops fresh drumming for a local church.
Currently in the studio Si is looking to release 2 albums of new material this 2013 summer.
If there's life after rock, you didn't rock.
