Samantha was born in 1985 and raised in North Yorkshire. Her passion for music was apparent from an early age, with her first inspiration coming from the well known artist, Alanis Morissette. This drew Samantha to start singing and playing the guitar at the age of eleven and quickly developed her talent and grew to become a conscious singer/songwriter, basing the majority of her music around her guitar.
At the age of thirteen Samantha formed a band and they performed in local bars and clubs. A year later the band went their seperate ways and Samantha then decided to go solo and built up a local following. Whilst performing at a charity event for Martin House Children’s Hospice, Samantha was introduced to the headline act; London based boy band, Damage. Working alongside them Samantha developed a good working relationship and was offered a two year development deal.
This break gave her the opportunity to work with various well known producers and songwriters. Steve Octave, James Hayton, Redd, Steven McNearney and many more. Damage allowed Samantha to develop as an artist and enhance her guitar, singing, and songwriting skills via various different tutors, and was also given the opportunity to tour the UK with them.
When Damage split in 2002 this lead to numerous offers which finally lead to signing with Nick Raymond on a two year management deal. Unfortunatley this deal did not give Samantha the opportunity to progress any further, She then decided to end the contract early just after the first year.
Since moving back to her local area of Harrogate, Samantha has worked with different producers in her area. She has experimented with different sounds in the studio recording different styles; from R’n’B to Rock music, however nothing has been yet to beat the simple sound of Samantha with just her acoustic guitar.
Throughout her career so far she has many different variants of success and after a little break from music she is back and hungry as ever to succeed once again on a different path.
