As far as bio's go...this is not much of one. Thank God For Payday is the latest musical journey of former Leaving Araby front-man Chad McIlvenna. McIlvenna teamed up with friends and co-writers Seth White of Fusion Worship Band, Derek Amos formerly of Leaving Araby and Zach Neal producer/mixer and former Leaving Araby drummer to create a fun and honest side project of catchy post-punk rock tunes that capture spinets of the meanderings of McIlvenna's thoughts and emotions. With no aspirations, other than creating music that they could all enjoy and express their artistic freedom with, Thank God For Payday is set to release their debut EP in late spring of 2012. The first single from the upcoming release, Dead On Arrival is available for streaming now and shows the groups pop/punk sensibilities while also showcasing their ability to break free from the stereo type of that genre to explore more atmospheric and arena sounds and melodies. With Influences stretching far and wide to include: Jimmy Eat World, Ke$ha, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Fall Out Boy, The FooFighters, Mayday Parade, Anberlin, Hilsong United, Jesus Culture, Kristian Stanfill, and many others this group is sure to surprise from song to song with an almost schizophrenic musical journey towards what is their pop/punk foundation.
