Angela J. Shields is a native of Anchorage, Alaska. Her gift of singing was realized at the age of 3 when she would be seen mimicking some of her favorite singers. Angela realized that she wanted to use her gift in ministry at the age of 8 and she began singing in the church at 10. Over the years, Angela has been trained in several genres of music, including classical, jazz, and gospel music. She is currently working towards her first CD project which she hopes to release in the Fall of 2012. Her single “I Believe” will be released in the Spring of 2012.
Angela Shields has done many community events to include, Economic Empowerment Seminar for IRS, Sisters against Lupus (SAL), the Walter and Edwin Hawkins Love Fellowship Conference, and Seattle University Music Department Black History program featuring “Young Town” Orchestra. She was the winner of the 2007 Shirley Caesar competition and has shared the stage with Marvin Winans, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Byron Cage, Vashawn Mitchell, Earnest Pugh, Walter and Edwin Hawkins, Jimmy Hick, Shirley Caesar, Crystal Aiken and Kim Burrell to name a few.
Angela Shields has a heart for worship and for people to experience the presence of God.
