New York hip hop artist H Dubs lyrical genius is only matched by his intensity. Since he started rapping in 2007, he has dropped 3 mixtapes and has been working on his first solo album entitled T.H.C (The Harry Chronicles).
The second H Dubs grabs a mic he is unstoppable in the booth and on the stage. Best described as unfiltered, gritty, and honest, his music is like no other rapper today.
H Dubs has a number of collaborations with Strong Island rapper Lenny. Their remix of "I Love College" has gained major popularity in colleges across the east coast.
Born in Tarrytown on May 8th, 1988, Harry Wittenberg (AKA H-Dubs), is one of the preeminent lyricists of the 21stcentury. Harry grew up in a suburban household with loving parents and three brothers in lower Westchester, NY. Often considered eccentric, brilliant, and deviant, Harry did well academically. Harry started drinking in 6th grade when he took liquor from his parent’s liquor cabinet and took a pot brownie for the first time when he was 14. At Edgemont Junior/Senior High School.
He excelled in the classroom, soaking up knowledge and often participating in an obnoxious manner, while acing all his tests and refusing to do homework. Harry frequented the lunchtime detention facility for his deviant antics and served two out of school suspensions for possessing marijuana and smashing another student’s face into a chalkboard.
This delinquent behavior compounded with chronic marijuana smoking caused Harry’s parents to hire two ex-special ops agents to break down his bedroom door at 3am on July 27th, 2004. Armed with military weaponry, mp5s with laser sight, these refrigerator sized men abducted Harry and brought him to the forests of Dillwyn, Virginia. In the forest, Harry was forced to survive with a group of other preeminent young criminals by constructing tents out of trees, digging running a mile long trench to procure running water, cut firewood, dig stumps, push wheelbarrows of rocks, and perform other menial tasks/heavy manual labor.
610 days later, Harry graduated from the Discovery School of Virginia as the Valedictorian of a class of two people and spent the summer of 2006 catching up on all the fun he had missed in the past two years. In the fall, Harry attended Widener University in Chester, PA where he was exposed to the poverty stricken ghetto surrounding the college. He was almost kicked out in the first two weeks for underage drinking and making dry ice bombs that sounded too much like gun shots for the police to ignore.
After spending the first two semesters with one strike left, Harry transferred to Pace University where he excelled in the business program. Harry started rapping in 2007 after losing his best friend Will, who died because he didn’t do what he loved. Rap became a creative outlet, a talent, and a passion for Harry as he improved his abilities with each song in succession.
In February 2010, Harry was in a serious car accident while on the way to visit his future girlfriend Ariel at 3am, injuring his back and knee. He and Ariel fell madly in love with each other and have been together for almost two years. After the accident, Harry began taking pain medication for his back and became addicted; he was arrested in October 2010 for activities related to his addiction.
After getting out of Jail, he worked hard to finish college and survive on his own with Ariel. Graduating from Pace University, Cum Laude, Harry continues to write, record, and produce rap music to this day and is seeking a record deal with a major label.
