“Digital Slumber Party", (consisting of Chris Euton (ADeight), Paul Wardrip (Nightmare Laboratory) & Derrick Dickey (dirty) continue to deliver haunting, genre-bending, soundscapes.
The summer of 2012 saw the first official release, simply titled "EP 1". Both EP1 & 2013's EP2 were both produced in Orlando Fla, by Adriel Garcia, & then mastered by John Maskew, in Atlanta GA. Several of these songs found placement in film & tv, while the majority of material was also used in various video projects. Noted local DJs (both in the college radio underground, & in the dance club) spun choice cuts often, which generated quite a buzz with industry insiders & musicians alike. After gaining the attention of licensing agencies and international labels, the group was featured in Future Music magazine. "We want the music to take you on an adventure that leaves you blown away" adds Chris. "We're always trying new approaches in the studio, & discussing ideas for new material."
Combining genres of EDM, rock, & downtempo, the trio have developed a signature sound of both light & dark atmospheres.
The group lists influences from NIN to Sigur Rós to DJ Shadow. Before heading to his lab, Paul points out that "Each member plays a critical role in shaping Digital Slumber Party's unique sound. The sum... & I think everyone would agree, is larger than its parts."
Stay tuned for more details. Thank you for listening.
