Acting on advice she personally received from Travis Tritt, 15 year-old Juliet Kalifeh pours her heart and soul into a song whether sheʼs singing in her bedroom or performing in front of a few thousand people. Like most teenagers, you can find Juliet studying hard for a test, playing sports after school, or hanging out with her friends. But Juliet has also never lost sight of her ultimate goal, and ever since she was a small child she has been quietly yet determinedly pursuing her dream of becoming a country superstar.
Having had the opportunity to learn from some of the most outstanding musicians in her hometown of New Orleans (Theresa Andersson, Cranston Clements) as well as notable vocal coach Jerry Byrd and studio mentor Annie Clements of the multi-platinum duo Sugarland, Julietʼs easy, lilting vocal style is light and clear yet possessive of an underlying strength, surprising for someone so young.
With the release of her 1st EP, “Something ʻBout You,” she is well on her way to making her dreams a reality. The 5-song effort showcases the Louisiana teenʼs sweet, organic style, staying true to her southern roots with a fresh, down-home take on Motley Crueʼs “Home Sweet Home” as well as 4 other tracks written by some of Nashvilleʼs hottest songwriters whose songs have also been recorded by the likes of Little Big Town and Jason Aldean.
Produced by Sorted Noise, a production team who has written, recorded and/or performed with acts from Sugarland to Beyonceʼ to members of the Backstreet Boys, “Something ʻBout You” is a first class, radio-ready collection of material highlighting Julietʼs pop/country accessibility, and upbeat, fresh approach to the genre. Juliet is excited to share this music with you and invites you to join her on her journey of turning her dreams into a reality!
