The Bleeding Feathers began in late December of 2011, when Singer/Guitarist Taylor
Carano and Bassist Austin Glosik met via ReverbNation.com's artist website. At that time,
Taylor also received a recommendation from Chuck Auerbach to connect with local drummer
Tim Ellinger. The three musicians got together for a jam session, and formed the band that
The group's first songs were originals written by Taylor prior to the band's formation,
along with some cover songs. The band soon started writing riffs and songs together, forging
their own new sound rooted in blues, rock 'n' roll, and rockabilly. They played their first live
show together on January 27th 2012 at JB's Concert Club in Kent, OH; and have performed in
Akron, Canton, Cincinnati and Youngstown in the subsequent months.
In April of 2012, the Bleeding Feathers recorded their debut E.P. with engineer Rick
Fuller in Akron. The E.P. featured six original songs, and was mixed and mastered by Fuller
as well. The E.P. was released to an eager public on September 8th 2012 at Annabell's Bar &
Lounge, with excellent sales and fan response.
The Bleeding Feathers went through a mutual separation with original drummer Tim
Ellinger in January of 2013. As of January 19th, Mike Godward has taken over drumming duties for The Bleeding Feathers.
The Bleeding Feathers will officially be on hiatus beginning November 1st, 2013.
