With hard-hitting riffs and heartfelt lyrics, Falling For Insanity is a group from Mobile, Alabama that's primed and ready to take the music world by storm after fighting so hard just to get their foot in the door.
Falling For Insanity started out as a dream between two young teenage boys back in 2007. Matt Boykin and Patrick Hyatt both shared a love for driving hard rock and lyrics with meaning, and began writing songs together as they went through school. In 2008, they found their first solid lineup with Blake Thomas on drums and Tre Smith on Bass Guitar. The band however never really escalated further than jam sessions and local shows. In 2011, the band found a new drive when they added Koti Hollstein as a guitarist and they immediately began writing new songs that would take the band to a new level. In late 2012, the band stepped into the studio for the first time to begin recording their debut EP. The progress of the EP was slow however, due to personal and financial issues combined with the loss of Tre on bass. 2013 saw yet another reboot in the band's activity, adding Grady Walton as the new Bass player and Matt Parker as a keyboardist and programmer while stepping back into the studio to finish the long-awaited EP. The band's debut EP "We Don't Belong" is set to drop in November of 2013, it represents the fruit of the blood, sweat and tears used to nurture a seed planted 6 years ago.
