Kate Brady Ross is a Colorado based singer/songwriter currently studying English at the University of Colorado in Boulder. She likes it a lot.
Kate has written a slew of songs since she started at age 12, including 'Sailing Ships', a tune written for her 2012 high school graduation that went viral after being on the front page of reddit.com. (Here is the article that the Huffington Post wrote about the song). You can buy the song on iTunes or Amazon now!
During the summer of 2012, Kate attended a singer/songwriter session at Berklee College of Music where she was instructed under world famous musicians and professors such as Melissa Ferrick and Jon Aldrich. She was recently invited to audition for America's Got Talent and was asked to perform in Las Vegas, which she turned down because it would have interfered too much with her classes at CU. She also recorded 'Sailing Ships' at Coupe Studios in Boulder (where DeVotchKa and The Fray both recorded some of their hit songs) with her friend and co-producer Joe Ferrone (who formerly played trumpet in The Flobots). Kate is now working with Lyric House Publishing, a publishing company out of Denver, CO.
When Kate isn't playing and writing, she loves telemark skiing, tennis, rock climbing, hiking, and picking flowers. She hates math, cilantro and chewing noises.
