Since 1980 The Two Can Band has been performing in the Jersey shore area. Influenced by the improvisational styles of The Grateful Dead and The Alman Brothers, The Two Can Band prefers to "jam" when they play live. Conducting without set lists allows the band to feel the audience and subsequently pursue their applause.
The Two Can Band never conformed to the standard 40-20 set rule which was expected from bands. One to two hour sets were always the norm, and it was always appreciated by fans and venue owners. Originals were always sprinkled into the act with no fanfare or announcement. Of course people didn't recognize the songs at first, but eventually they sang along. "Welcome to Keansburg" is the second and most recent CD released by the band. The accompanying video had a local viral success as well.
Fans always say "aren't you too old for this, you're suppose to quit after 25". Well ... we're starting our third "25".
