Changing members have been coining Cento, who meanwhile is forming up anew, for 5 years. Origianlly we started under the leadership of Martin Stein (one of the founders of the guitar duo 'Cereus', well known in the early 1980s in the former GDR) to make demanding jazz music playing the saxophone, the piano and the guitar. Having united with friends (and former students) Sam Schlatow, Klaus Macpolowski and Frank Richter, the band turned more to own Samba- and Bossa Nova songs plus to impressing coverages of rock music. Something about the production of the cd in the studio of Musikatelier, Rostock: The cooperation with handpicked musicians payed out! Some names are: Martin Pollock (drums and percussion), Hartmut Möller (cello), Sam Schlatow (keyboard programming, additional vocals), Alexander Girod (piano, improvisations), Christian Gohr (vocals), Klaus Macpolowski (additional concert guitar), Richard Franke/ IVO (sounds, ideas, arrangement), Frank Richter (drums). Anyhow, the main part is played in through overdubbing by Martin Stein (all guitar parts, e-bass, keyboard programming, sounddesign, arrangement). Have fun listening to this music that has neither lost its dancability nor fun with virtuosity nor the courage to take risks. Let yourself be caught by sounds that have their idols in jazz and rock & pop. By the way, you can find this music and newer pieces (in somewhat better quality, 320kbit/s) on the homepage of musikatelier-rostock.de/music.
