Alloy is a band comprised of five self taught musicians that create music with hopes of inspiring you. To talk to you about things that really matter and not things that don't. Our goals are simple, play with our mind, heart, and soul and let the chips fall where they may.
We all come from middle, lower, and upper class backgrounds in three different parts of the state and two parts of the country; Terrell, Garland, and Greenville Tx. And now our newest members from California and Massachusetts. As people we are as different as night and day such as our choices in music and in life, yet we share some common core beliefs. It is those beliefs which will keep us untouchable.
If you like what we do and how we do it, then please take a moment to see if you would like to Subscribe to our YouTube channel at Alloy Greenville and or Follow us at Alloy@AlloyGreenville on Twitter. We're also on Reverbnation under Alloy, that is always welcoming new friends and we have a Facebook Band Page as Alloy, that could use all the Likes it can get. You lead, we'll follow
Alloy was formed in early 2008 when Thomas Mcdonald (Bass Player), brought an old friend of his from Terrell, Texas, Chas Eacret(Lead Guitar/ Lead Vocals) to a new jam spot in his home town of Greenville, Texas. Thomas had been jamming with Tony Welch(Autistic Drums), from Garland, Texas, for 2 years at his house with a host of other good players. When he ran into Chas again he gave 'em an invite to check it out. Chas showed up early one morning and after the three of them played for hours on end, they knew they had something that wasn't bad. Chas suggested that they form a band and play shows around town for fun, so Thomas gave 'em a name and that was the beginning of Alloy. In 2011, a fan of the band from California named, Jeff Newton(Electronic Drums), had a party after a show. He and Tony had their drum kits set up alongside Chas to burn the midnight oil. When Chas heard the unique sound that was created from the two, he felt it had great possibilities. Jeff was brought in. In 2012 the idea of adding a guitar player was raised, so enter another fan Dave Meyer(Rhythm Guitar) from Massachusetts. He was the lead guitar player of a metal band for four years and was Alloy's number one choice for the job.
Alloy has evolved over the years into a heavy blues sounding rock that has a refreshing honest attitude. In the mind of Alloy, the purity and energy of its music comes first. The time of fluff music and tracking shows is over. Alloy believes that if you're not taking a chance playing your music live or trying to convey a useful message of some kind to your fans, you're not only cheating yourself, but you're cheating them. Alloy has used principles of integrity, honor, and respect in their song content from day one: Because they feel that there seems to be a blanket of confusion of what truth really is now a days. That's why they strive to follow the analogy that in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
