Tribal Frequencies is a father and son duo who have been making music for years.
After a 5 year run as an actor on the set of the HBO prison drama, “OZ,” where he appeared as “Glen Shupe,” Joel West got together with Thomas, his father, to combine their musical talents. Now they write, compose, produce and engineer songs born from their own experience. Recently they decided to begin sharing the music with others. Their first single, Voices, appeared on iTunes in October 2011. In 2012, they completed remixing all the songs they created since that time for clarity, power and presence, and the album of finished songs was uploaded to iTunes on March 11.
"Everything has a song. The frequencies of creation never stop. We all hear them, but our desire is to capture them through electronic frequencies. Some are beyond our range, but when my dog smiles at me I know I have hit the perfect mix."
