Adam Burrows / Bio

In April of 2014, Adam Burrows quit his full-time job of 8 years and spent the month of May touring North America with Australian singer/songwriter, Stu Larsen. Adam played some of the continent's top venues and promoted his latest album, Forward, recorded at Me and the Machine Studios in Nashville, TN.

Adam was nominated for The Deli Nashville's Best of 2012 Poll for Emerging Artists. He has had radio play on Nashville's Lightning 100 and has been a featured local spot-light artist. Out of over 300 musicians, Adam was a top 8 finalist in Lightning 100's 2013 Music City Mayhem contest.

Adam's music draws the listener in with celebrations of life's everyday moments and embraces those that are fleeting. Adam's small town upbringing in Northeastern Ohio is reflected in his music. His lyrics capture the simplistic beauty of a conversation and each character remains with you like an old friend. Adam's stories touch the listener in a deeply relatable way evoking emotions and inspiring images of less complicated times. His recollections of hope and heartache are framed by his percussive finger-picking and catchy melodies that you will find yourself humming for days.

Adam’s enthusiasm and endearing smile are a given at every show whether he is playing solo or with other artists. Adam often plays as a duo with talented musician, Josh Preston. Josh sings harmonies and plays guitar, glockenspiel, melodica, and other various instruments.

Adam has played well-known venues/events such as Nashville’s The Bluebird Cafe and Music City Roots, World Cafe Live (Philadelphia, PA), Eddie’s Attic (Atlanta, GA), Rockwood Music Hall (New York, NY), The Great Hall (Toronto, Canada), The Hotel Cafe (Lost Angeles, CA), The Evening Muse (Charlotte, NC), The Rickshaw Stop (San Francisco, CA), and The Media Club (Vancouver, BC).
