The Travelin' Moburys / Bio

The Travelin’ Moburys was created in October of 2010. Three individuals with unique styles of playing and singing. Yet when you bring the three together, you get such variety of music that is so unique that it is pleasing to everyone. Though much of the music that is performed is oriented towards Classic Country , you have a great amount that touches on Folk, Pop, Blues and Americana. The main pride and focus of the group is the vocals. The voices of the Travelin’ Moburys stand out on their own. When anyone of them starts to sing, everyone starts to listen.
Laura Moe
Laura moe has been sought after for her unique vocal sound. She has been hired to perform song tracks for film and other recording artists/producers in addition to her own projects. Laura’s ease in many genres also lends to her individual sound. She has performed in professional musical theater, in rock bands and she sang for a time with the Los Angeles Jazz choir. When you listen to her stylings these influences are apparent. Laura has often performed self accompanied with instruments guitar and piano and along with Bill & Francis, plays the guitar on most of Traveling Mobury tunes.

Francis Duxbury III:
Francis is the main writer in this trio. His style of writing, singing and playing will soothe the soul of most anyone. His intuitive lyrics, and stories are easy to understand and relate to. It has been called comfort music. That seems to fit perfect. HIs style works well with the feel of the songs. He is definitly one of a kind with a great heart and understanding people and life. You instantly like him.

Bill Travers:
Bill has been playing and singing back to his teens. Though he has played Country Music since he started, he is well versed in other kinds of music and styles. Anywhere from Waylon and Willie to Joe Cocker, Bill has a voice that will make you believe you are there. With an uncanny ability to change his voice styles, he gives the feel of the original artist, yet he still sounds like himself. A regular at the Midwest Country Theater in Sandstone, MN. you see him singing along side the other talents in the country.
Starting with his CD called “Legends” produced by Don Kaste, Bill had gotten the recording bug, he has produced 3 CD’s in the last year. Francis Duxbury III “Hide Me”, Larry Carpenters, “Across The Water” and the new Travelin’ Moburys CD, “Yesterdays Wine”. He is currenly working on a solo album with Laura Moe. His simple melodic style of guitar playing enhances the lead vocals on stage and in the studio.
