The Live Blue Wire band is an eclectic mix of all veterans/musicians dedicated to live performance and cultural exchange on the world stage. Described as a unique blues rock power trio under the influences of Black Keys, Gary Moore, Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Robben Ford, Robin Trower, ZZ Top, and even Van Halen. First founded as "Turning Blue" by Jazz, Blues, and Rock guitarist Shon-Stephan BelCher in Tempe, AZ in 2000, original members included pianist/keyboardist Dan Biederman and bassist Adrian Goldenthal of Badshoe. The band formed at the Arizona State School of Music, and after a heavy level of turnover was renamed the "Live Blue Wire" in 2001 with Shon-Stephan BelCher as the only remaining original member. Shon-Stephan relocated the band several times, eventually developing a strong following performing on the Monterey Penninsula from 2005-2008. The group began touring in 2009 focusing mainly on the Mediterranean. Currently the latest iteration of the group is composed of an all veteran cast of musicians finishing a two year tour of the Middle East supporting diplomatic and U.S. Military events in the region. Timed with their return to the U.S. the LBW plans to release their latest all original album, "Live from the Silk Road" recorded in Kabul and other venues on their tour. Great musicianship and all original compositions mark this band as ones to watch in 2014.
