To sum up Obsidian as a band, one need look no further than the famous line from The Rolling Stones: “Its only Rock-N-Roll, but I Like It“. Its loud, dirty, and honest. In an age of cleaned up pop rock, Obsidian puts the “F*ck You!“ back into rock-n-roll. Often compared to a modern day Aerosmith or Guns-n-Roses; any Rock, Metal, or music fan in general can appreciate the killer riffs paired with sing along choruses and powerful melodic vocals. Obsidian truly is music for the masses. The band toured heavily in 2011 and early 2012 playing everywhere From Hollywoods Famous Whiskey a GO GO to NYC, and all the wonderful places in between, including great runs with : LA Guns, Saving Abel, Black Stone Cherry, Great White, Evans Blue, our friends from Shinedown, and many more. With new management and a new record, 2013 promises to be a HUGE year for the band and its fans.

Obsidian released the EP White Light in May 2012 which includes 3 of the new songs that will be included on their 2013 full length release. The 2012 Indie Music Festival (Las Vegas) awarded Obsidian with Overall Best Band out of the 40 top national bands chosen to attend the showcase. The band is the 2011 winner of Artist of the Year and Album of the Year in the Midwest Rock Awards. Lead vocalist, Nikk Wolf is nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year in the 2013 Midwest Rock Awards. Obsidian was founded by brothers Nikk & Steven Wolf, a duo that is a force to be reckoned with – according to fans and industry professionals alike. The brothers continue to write the music that is Obsidian.
