Guess the first seed was planted way back in 2002 when Stuart Parsons, local DJ and promoter met (then drummer) Justine Hatfield and booked his high school band "Five Foot Ninja" at local restaurant La Tuna. Flash forward 9 years later, the stars align as their cosmic paths cross again while playing with local drummer Rome Leach at The Dawghouse in Lancaster, South Carolina. The Three soon combined to form "Eight Oh Tree". Paying honor to their native state of SC with a pun of the local area code: 803!
Justine is the front-man of the group. His soulful vocals, guitar work and often hilarious lyrics are what carries the band and crowd on a musical journey thru many styles...
Rome's years of drumming in the church almost every Sunday and his classical training in school bands planted seeds that have grown into his vast musical knowledge and his "Always in the Pocket" drumming holds down the groove.
Stuart cut his performing teeth in front of audiences as a DJ, both solo and also itching for a scratch in local bands then returned to his musical roots onto Keyboards and Synths while falling back on his early years of piano and violin lessons training where he first learned to read music. His rhythms add textures and flavors of electronic and dub sounds.
