Like similar rock artists All American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, Papa Roach, Stone Sour and Theory of a Deadman, Lorenzo’s sound is characterized by great songs driven by high-energy guitar.
The Band’s latest CD, “Ignition” was added to 93 of the top 100 College radio stations and over 77 video outlets including, “CoolTV” and “RNRTV” in major markets, proving that there is something special about this music.

The band has is constantly touring the Midwest, east coast and Florida the latest included an in-studio stop on the Real Morning Show on WCRN in New York. This follows a successful string of dates with Fuel and Filter.
The Lorenzo story started when Radio Promotion legend, Bill Scull heard Marko’s songs, “Little Breakdown” and “2 a.m.” at an ASCAP demo review session. Scull, who has worked in the industry for years with Clive Davis, singled him out, signed Marko to his EO label, changed the band’s name to Lorenzo and sent him out to record his label’s first CD. Scull said, “The thing I learned from Clive is that the song is king and Lorenzo has those songs.”
Scull and Emanon Records founder, Mike Busch then enlisted [future] Grammy-Nominated, Juno-Winning producer, Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Hinder, 5-Finger Death Punch) to produce the CD. Churko, (who had just finished working with Mutt Lange), told Scull after he heard the demos, “This is the kind of artist every producer dreams of finding.”
Lorenzo quickly rose to become the top independent rock act in the Midwest per the Billboard/DiscMakers Independent Music World Series. They got their first Billboard add at WEBN in Cincinnati, and opened for several major acts, such as 3 Doors Down, Shinedown, Default and Hinder.
What followed were tour dates with Stone Temple Pilots, Saving Abel and being featured on ESPN’s “The Life” website. They were also named the Official Band of “The Big Show” MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) which has been televised on the CW and seen in over 30 Million homes worldwide on Sky Network
Lorenzo songs have since been used on “ESPN College Football,” “Shark” (CBS), “90210” (CW), “Threshold” (CBS), “Girlfriends” (CW) and “3lbs” on (CBS).
Lorenzo features some special talent from around the U.S. Drummer, Aaron Farrier, from Dayton, OH., regularly performs at Guitar Center Grand Openings and clinics nationwide with world-famous Epiphone guitarist, Marcus Henderson – known for his work on the hit video games Guitar Hero and Halo. Guitarist Anthony August was named an “Up and Coming Musician” in Guitar Magazine, Germany, and was featured as one of Detroit’s Best Guitarists at the Cars and Guitars Exhibit at The Henry Ford Museum. Bassist Julian Simonelli, from Long Island, NY, has played with extensively in New York and Florida with such notable musicians as Bobby Rondinelli (Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Rainbow etc...), John Miceli (Meat Loaf), Keith Zebvrowski(Miranda Lambert)and many others.
The talent of the band has also caught the attention of publisher Jan Seedman (who found Nickelback for Road Runner Records), “Mark Lorenzo knows how to come up with a great rock melody... The songs just don’t get tired - ever.”
All of this exposure has led the band in reaching national prominence with such notable sponsors as Red Monkey Headwear, Aquarian Drumheads, Bosphorus Cymbals and Drumnetics Accessories.
