Dee Girard is the only member as he writes, plays, records and engineers all his own music. Without the distracting influences of egos Dee is able to create music that is true to life, full of emotion, and pure in the sense that it comes from one soul, a soul that seeks truth and beauty. Dee grew up in Erie,PA. the second child in a family of seven. Though the family was poor they managed to aquire instruments that the children could learn on, as both parents were lovers of music. Dee played drums first, playing out at age 11, he then took up the guitar at age 13 and played in many local bands with his brother Dave. Years went by and Dee finally met the love of his life and had a family so he concentrated his efforts on his own children and wife. Now even though Dee wasn't playing in a band he still created music simply singing and playing his acoustic guitar. After many years the kids were grown and moved out Dee began playing out again first on guitar with his brother in Sybling Rivalry, then with some friends in a band called TJ Rocks, then on drums for a band called XL. Dee felt a strong desire to record his own music. Therefore he set up a small recording studio in January of 2003 and began the tedious job of recording the songs for the CD that is titled "Waiting On The Gods". Over three years in the making the premier disc has turned out to be a cult hero success story. People can relate to this music because it comes from a real person with hopes and dreams, pain and struggle, work and worry, the same ups and downs that we all experience. Dee is back in the studio now recording his next disc. He has shunned success claiming that notoriety will only cause his music to suffer. Music is what Dee lives for now and speaking for the poor and helpless against the powerful and rich gives Dee his voice. Dee is truly a songwriter for the people. Take a minute and listen. You will quickly become a fan.
