Out of Nowhere plays bluegrass and original acoustic music. They take traditional (and not so traditional) tunes and make them their own. Toss in their duet harmony twists plus the fun they have together, and you've got a show you don't want to miss.
In 2013 Out of Nowhere (OON) recorded their first full length cd titled "Once in a While", a 10 song recording of covers done in their own unique style.
In the past two years OON has performed on many Colorado, New Mexico and Kansas stages including Bluegrass at the Fair, Mid-Winter Bluegrass, The Americana Music and Art Festival, The Santa Fe Old Time and Bluegrass and Gunny Grass Bluegrass Festival. OON is also very active playing summer concert series events in Southern Colorado.
All of the OON folks have been involved in music to some degree throughout their lives though they didn't expect it would play such a big part.
Rob Tobiassen-Guitar/Vocals, plays most anything with strings. Each instrument he picked up hoping it would make his true love, fiddle easier. Maybe that will come someday, Rob. He currently heads up the Jam Shack in Colorado Springs. (Visit The Jam Shack on Facebook).
Tony Peduto-Mandolin/Guitar/Vocals, started playing drums at around 6 or 7, as an underage kid he played in rock bands on the east coast switching to guitar and playing in country rock bands. Currently Tony is still throwing himself at new musical situations, When not playing with OON you'll likely find him sitting in with another band.
Jonny Slumpff-Banjo, played jazz trumpet and flugelhorn through college, then spent several years beating on a djembe. Back in 2002, he was bitten by the banjo bug at the 1st Northwest String Summit and the rest is history....... now he is an "engineer" of the five string banjo.
Corinne Nelson-Bass/Vocals, spent time with piano, oboe and percussion in her youth. After picking up and putting down guitar, she finally found and kept the bass. Now its all I V, I V, I V. (Ask a bass player if you don't get the joke)
Ben Kaminski-Fiddle has just recently come to the band. self taught in his youth, he is developing his bluegrass sound with a tone and power that will blow you away.
