Eric has been active in the Valley music scene for many years. He is currently appearing solo at venues throughout the Valley and as a member of Scatfish, a blues/roots/americana band. He is a founding member of the seminal Alt-Folk-Swamp-Country-Rock-Southern-Blues-Boogie Band Spiny Norman, when such music genre-blending was not the norm. Other incarnations are HIgh Falls and not:quite:norman.
With soaring vocals and organic arrangements, his idiosyncratic music draws from such wide-ranging stylists as Bruce Cockburn, Jackson Browne, Ry Cooder, David Lindley, Taj Mahal, Joni Mitchell, John Hiatt, Lowell George, Jerry Garcia, Miles Davis and John Coltrane, and is never bound by its original sources. His original compositions live in a place where his influences play nicely together....
Given his extensive and varied songlist covering country, rock, americana, folk and blues, along with his original material, Eric is comfortable in any musical environment that doesn't involve a chickenwire cage.
