I am from Denver, Colorado. I am someone who is spiritual and political, conscious and rambunctious! As a child I rapped on my neighbors camcorder with my brother and performed songs that my brother and his rap group had written. I practiced my own delivery and style by perfecting every rapper that my brother had brought back to the house. By the time I was 10 I knew how to rap, just not how to make a song.
Soon that would change.
From Colorado, or more specifically, Denver, I am influenced by Yonnas of BLKHRTS. From the word wizardry of Yonnas I combined the more intricate (yet) delayed delivery of the west coast rappers that I eventually began to listen to. The Jacka soon became my favorite rapper after C-Bo & Tupac.
I have a degree in writing (jrn) I am also an athlete. I remain committed to the goal of getting a major league record deal and contract! Just need that one chance!
I do believe that we are able to do so many things together a human beings, more than I can gesticulating and pontificating on the microphone, I need you as much as you need me to tell your story, to put those complex human emotions of love, disdain, being sexually aroused, being high or even triumph, into a song that resonates in your heart.
Rap wise; I am lyricist who has been influenced by Tupac Shakur, David Sirota, Noel Sturgeon, C-Bo, Thom Hartman, Mac Dre: I have taken the socio-political movements from past to present & transfigured them into hip-hop!
I have chose to be more of a lyricist but I have club bangers, brigade anthems, love songs and spirituals. The fact that I don't cuss or use four letter words doesn't necessarily mean that the content is not adult in scope, it's softer on the ears to not have to hear words that are so destructive.
I stand for this planet and it's inhabitants! We may not deserve this planet but our children do...
I hope that we all can change our planet, it's lifeforms and all the self-hate that we have come to know as normal. We must therefore change ourselves, you hear a lot of people tell you that they are not trying to get rich off music, well I am! Yet I am trying to also change and positively affect music and my relative environment.
However influenced I am bye music, I do not condone the senseless violence that is in Hip-Hop-when focused inward or toward ones own community. Story telling is different then bragging. As I have stated, Hip-Hop is the bridge of many generations and the seg-way into socioeconomic issues. I hope that I can change you, affect you, inspire you to think, and in a way I hope that I can offend you so that you respond to what is happening not just to what is being said.
I love you
