Whether you're laid back relaxing to her mellow grooves or shakin' to her diva funk Ayanda Sunshine's soulfully rich voice commands your attention and doesn't let go. She is a skilled singer/songwriter and her engaging wit and entertaining commentary have also made her a much sought after event hostess.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Ayanda started singing and songwriting from the age of eight. Her career started locally as the hostess of the BMI sponsored showcase Melodyc Syndrome. She is the former VJ for Elique.com and Neo-Soul web-tv show "MISC Live!" on MISC All Music TV . She's performed in renowned venues such as Lincoln Center, South Street Seaport, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden to name a few. Ayanda Sunshine studied Music and Audio Technology at Five Towns College and Broadcast Technology at Kingsborough Community College. She was mentored by Jazz greats Lafayette Harris, Wes Anderson and Tulevu Donna Cumberbatch. She has since gone on to work with musician/producers such as Clarence Penn, The Evocators, Power Fam, Boyd Jarvis and Glow Productions. Ayanda Sunshine is currently working on a joint album entitled "The All" with S. Leathers of #75Blvd Productions.
