Wendy & the Lost Boys / Bio

Wendy and the Lost Boys is a DC area alt rock band. They play an eclectic mix of cover tunes, with songs by the Black Keys, Chili Peppers, 311, Sublime, Police, and Pretenders - and some originals as well. The band features David Uffelman on vocals; Wendy Lanxner on bass and vocals; Steve Wilmarth on guitar; and Bill Lanxner, drums.

The "unfairly talented" (SuitedforChange.org) Wendy Lanxner has played and sung with Chopteeth, Bottomland, and the BlackJacks, among other groups. She got started in bass playing through her mentor Franz Kellner, former bandmate in the world beat group Bottomland, and bassist with Graphic Shadows. Steve Wilmarth came to WATLB from Sixplay, the last in a string of several bands benefiting from his guitar chops. Drummer virtuoso Bill Lanxner has played in many area bands over the years, most notably Too Many Daves and the Brass Soulution. Wendy and Steve met David through their mutual involvement in the Doyle Rice Experience and recognized his stellar vocals as a must in this project.
