After 50 years of playing music suffice it to say that I've been around some great players & people that influenced me more than I could realize as a young lad growing up & playing honkey tonks & juke joints in the barren oil fields of West Texas from the mid 60's on. From jamming with Mance Lipscomb on his front porch in Navasota Tx. to subbing in John Lee Hookers band to doing shows with Lightnin' Hopkins & Fredie King, they all ingrained their music & feel deep into my soul. From playing with "Uncle" John Turner, to Robin Syler to my close friend Stevie Vaughn, all left their mark on my character & music. At this point in my life I find myself going back to my early roots as a young acoustic guitarist playing my beloved country blues. Soon I'll be recording new music in the spirit of Big Bill Broonzy, Robert Johnson & others.
