Satellite Hearts are a four-piece band that combine both the raw, unpolished, and unapologetic sound of today, with the soul of true classic rock. Featuring J.M. Pellecchia on guitar, vocals, and harmonica, Lucas Rinz on bass and vocals, Keaton Thandi on drums, percussion, and vocals and Dre DiMura on Guitar and vocals; they create a sound that mixes the best of classic and alternative rock and roll, with elements of soul, funk, and R&B that give them a unique and explosive resonance that is hard to find in today’s music scene.
"Between the percussive clashing and lead singer Justin Pellecchia’s sixties psych-rock vocals, Satellite Hearts are what I imagine a Lou Reed-fronted Steppenwolf would sound like." -Julie Miller XPN
Formed in December of 2009 by J.M. Pellecchia and Lucas Rinz, the song-writing duo quickly enlisted the talents of drummer Keaton Thandi and began making a dent in the US club circuit. In the spring of 2012 the hardened trio entered the studio to record their debut album, “Imperial Green”, produced by Chad Ginsberg of CKY. With the release of the single, “New York City”, the group began receiving heavy airplay on 103.3 WPRB and 91.7 WKDU and were featured in Philadelphia’s JUMP magazine. Shortly after guitarist Dre DiMura joined the group, having toured & performed with Thandi previously behind legendary musicians Gloria Gaynor and Steve Howe (YES) the four-piece hit the ground running, bringing a new and invigorating element to the bands already powerful performance. Well received at appearances across the nation and with the premiering of, “Imperial Green”, the group is creating a sonic force that is to be reckoned with. Musically diverse and developing a sound, distinctive and unique, yet reminiscent of yesterday, Satellite Hearts are on the rise.
