yankee born, southern raised..........first born child of two musicians: Mother a classical pianist, Father a jazz trumpet player.....entertained the troops in WWII. i play piano, guitar, and flute, compose songs from mainly life lessons. still wearin' my heart on my sleeve. that deep sensitized emotion creates art and music in my life. finally learning to balance the artist and the musician within me. beginning to learn how to touch my own source, and tap into unlimited creativity.....i stumble onto to it occasionally - and out of it, of course.....scraping my kneecaps and elbows!! i realize i am not a great singer, but can't help writing songs......they just keep coming. we all have messages to impart; and we all write in hopes that one person will hear. My father said I was born with the flute in my hands.......rip daddy.
i miss memphis, but most of the wonderful talented musicians i was blessed to play with have passed on, Ollie Nightingale & the Nightingale Express, Rufus Thomas, Carl Darvin Drew Band, Rick Harvey & the Boogie Blues Bland, James Govan is still playing at Rum Boogie, and I can't wait to go play with him again, countless street musicians, Albert King, Herman Green & the Green Machine, Ruby Wilson, and countless others that taught me music comes from the spirit not your instrument. I'm not white, I"m not black, baby, I'm blue :-)
At this moment in time, I'm in the desert of Arizona, seeking for the one again, that I'm supposed to be playing with.......that person will find me, I already know it......the atmosphere is thick with expectation. Will keep all my lifelong followers updated. February 2013.
