Jon Latham is a funny fat guy, the same character Jack Black plays in every one of his movies, minus the annoying slapstick or Panda-based martial arts technique. His family sowed their roots in the suburbs of Atlanta when he was very young. Being that he was rocked to sleep at night by the glow of an MTV that still focused on music, his affection towards the artform developed at a younger age than most. Visits to the grandparents house was not complete without a concert with his toy guitar on the fireplace hearth. While all the other kids in fifth grade were discovering the Beatles and the Stones, he was discovering Nirvana and the Ramones.
Jon continued to pursue music as years progressed, picking up the guitar by simply playing along to his favorite records. What has resulted is a vast resource of musical influences that is tell-tale by the different songs he has written over the past few years. Using clever wordplay and a tongue-in-cheek attitude, Jon brings a sense of humor to his songs that is both refreshing and edgy. Be it a sincere willingness to satisfy his lady or a burning hatred of the Twilight book series, nothing is taboo.
Jon can also be heard as a co-host of the Atlanta-based podcast Minor Detail.
