Jerry Olea and The 805 Drifters is a five member band started in 2011, from Chula Vista, California. The band's genre of music is a mix of the blues, rock, and folk. Inspiration for the band comes from a variety of musical influences such as Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, as well as contemporary artists like, John Mayer, Coldplay etc. The band is comprised of guitarist and singer Jerry Olea, bass extraordinaire Robert Allen, and beatmaster Gab Busuego on the drums, the piano man with the a great voice Brion Kennett, and our newest member, amazing lead guitarist Nick Camacho. Each member comes from a diverse musical upbringing. Jerry Olea began to play guitar at the age of 13, without any professional training, he tought himself to play guitar and sing. Prior to forming Jerry Olea and The 805 Drifters, Jerry was part of a blues band. Robert Allen started playing bass at a young age focusing on post-rock. Gab Busuego drew musical inspiration from living in Los Angeles, and was tought to play drums by his older brother. Both Nick and Brion played for Hilltop High's band, and have years of experience with their intruments. Together the band feeds off the energy of their drummer, the emotion of the driving bass, and the powerful guitar work.
