Crimson Noise is an Alternative/Hard Rock Band From San Jose, Costa Rica. Formed in 2007 by guitar player / singer Marco Salas and Alfonso Perez. Singer Jacobo Chaverri, bass player David Peña and drummer Alberto Teran joined the fold soon after adding the finishing touches to their sound by mixing elements of rock, grunge and heavy metal to create a unique blend of driving riffs and very melodic vocals sung in English. Strong riffs, catchy melodies, a fresh approach to song structure, and a groove oriented rhythm section well describe the bands musical direction.
It´s name drawn from the combination of Noise (heaviness, loudness, ) and Crimson (red, love, war, feelings and passion) reflects the bands mission to create music that is aggressive and pounding, yet full of melody that takes the listener on an emotional yet headbanging musical journey.
In December of 2010 Crimson Noise made it´s live debut, opening the flood gates for an incredibly productive 2011 in which they put a big dent on the local rock scene. Playing with the biggest acts in Costa Rica, Crimson Noise has made a name for itself as being a forced to be reckoned with in live situations, as the songs come to life with a deep focus on tight performances and powerful sound.
2011 saw the release of a self financed, independently released EP entitled WASTELAND which features the songs, My Bones, Counting On You, Sleeping Pill and Wasteland. The EP is currently available in Costa Rica at physical outlets and through the bands Facebook Page. It´s available as a digital download at: crimson-noise.bandcamp.com.
Currently (April 2012) the band continues to promote it's debut EP "WASTELAND" and is in the process of pre-production for their followup full length LP. With an unreleased catalog of over 30 new songs there is plenty of material for them to craft a superior release that will greatly improve upon the already successful first EP.
