"Their chemistry and charm is infectious. A rare blend of voices and interwoven guitars. This acoustic toe-to-toe recording captures the spur-of-the-moment freshness of a live performance".

""Songs Around The Kitchen Table" is essentially a live album. We borrowed a couple of extra mics, set it all up in the living room, face to face, almost toe-to-toe, and the songs just kinda chose themselves. Feelin' Groovy was just a try out to see if all the wires and boxes would actually work together - check out the little video on YouTube from the front porch here in East Nashville. Coffee Shop Song was the first song we wrote together, during our very first meeting at a songwriting retreat on Gotland, Sweden – a fun song full of banter between an arguing couple in a coffee shop, reflecting a common sense of humor. It was followed up by the love ballad This Morning Blues - a transatlantic co-write. The Real Peter Pan was a sunset walk on the beach in Naples, Florida, Homeward just kinda fell out while relaxing on the couch after a highly challenging game of table tennis, and Turn Turn Turn was an old favorite and birthday request from a family member. God’s Waltz is a new extended version from the original on Ida’s debut album. Only God Knows was written together on one of those hot May Tennessee evenings after a full day of recording, and Ida catching her very first firefly. It was a magical time to write and put these down, hope you feel it too". On the surface, they would seem an unlikely pair. If not so much musically, as they both stem from the singer/songwriter tradition, at least geographically. Ida, born in São Paulo, Brazil, by Swedish parents, grew up in Sweden and has pursued her musical career based in Stockholm. David, originally from the coal mining valleys of South Wales, took the trip over the pond through Austin TX to follow the music, and has been based in Nashville since 1996. - See more at: http://davidandida.com/bio
