I grew up on the South side of Chicago near 80th & Drexel where I attended Hales Franciscan High School and graduated as Valedictorian in 2002. I studied at abroad in Cambridge, England the summer after my freshman year in College at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I received my Bachelors in Business Management in 2007.
I got into music because of my Father and older cousin. They taught me the great value and principle of instruments and harmonies; combing them created good music. My cousin introduced me to Hip-Hop at the age of eleven, so in sixth grade I began to write rhymes. There were 5 main artists who inspired me, Bone Thugs, Nas, Tu-Pac, B.I.G and Twista.
I began recording music in my senior year of high school. In college, I continued to make music, but it wasn't a primary focus since I was playing football and focusing on my studies. When I could no longer play ball due to a heart diagnosis that was the point that I dove into music and it saved my psyche. My mentality was struck hard due to the change in my lifestyle; music was therapy for me.
When I graduated from Wisconsin in 2007, I came back to Chicago and pursued my music more seriously. During the entire month of August, 2010 I was in the hospital fighting a severe heart condition where I had nearly lost my life but I survived and began to write once again.
Today, currently working as an 8th grade Math teacher on the South-side of Chicago. Every day, I mold the future through impacting my students’ views and understandings. I foster creativity, develop character, give students lenses with which to view the world and provide students with the skills they need to reach their potential and lead productive lives.
Furthermore, I'd like to thank God, my Mom and Dad and all my fans for continuing to listen to my music. Thank you all!
Many thanks to: Sound Scandal Music Group, Chi-Rock Nation, Zulu Nation, Ill-State Assasins and the world-wide X-Men crew.
